861 pages, allegedly
12.01.2005 Additional content added to 724 Balaia and Portugal section.
Galleries weeded and tweaked into the new format for the Northern Ireland pages as well.
762 pages on site.
15.09.2004 Major revamp has taken place. This should be immediately obvious in the absence of broken links and the coherent design across the site, Site now completely rebuilt and restructured in Dreamweaver. Please report any broken links. Any effort over the next few months likely to be limited to adding small parcels of content to the walking routes, galleries and quotations sections.
08.04.2004 Added Google search technology as Atomz results far from satisfactory. Development work slowed by focus on RAF Lincolnshire and Coarse Angling sites. Started to look at implementing .css across the site. Eek that will hurt.
20.02.2004 Started to use more library elements to define global pages style / feel. Incorporation of google adds which are specific and relevant to the content of each page.
30.12.2003 Books section revamped and given a facelift to the new standard, improved navigation. Added about another hundred quotations to the main collection. Entirely new website, raf-lincolnshire.info, launched as complete 150 page site now only requiring enhanced content (will be an ongoing maintenance task).
10.11.2003 It has been a while since the last entry in the updates log. Combatcat has seen the largest growth, with individual cat galleries and the recce section. Other than than I have merely been sorting out broken links and missing content, with the main effort being on shifting those quotations pages over to the new format.
01.08.2003 Site now fully hosted on professional basis by bluewebsolutions.co.uk (Cheers Nick!)
01.12.2002 Quotations keeps growing, but no full makeover yet. Combatcat grows a shop and his first gallery.
28.09.2002 Minor tweaking of some formats; including the RMAS front page. Hopefully some links have also been unbroken. Over the summer small parcels of content have been added to many pages, but not uploaded to the server. I want to wait until the sections can be uploaded in one segment, except the Orienteering discussion. Site content covers over 300 000 words and almost 700 pages.
07.07.2002 Addition of a Data Protection statement. A few more pages have been re-coded in the new look, and about 100 more quotations added. Extra booklists, for SOE/WWII and RMAS, were also created. Cuddly toy store augmented by the combatcat.co.uk subsite.
22.04.2002 The new look is proving popular, as proved by the statistics (visits grew over 50% in the past 12 months). Focus is on testing new structure and adding book links to the quotations section.
03.2002 The new look (compare the OLD)! After some pondering I adopted a more standardised feel and navigation. Some sections restructured as their content has outgrown original homes. Minor attempts at dynamic content and modest, cost-recovering income generation by off-site links through affiliate schemes. New play sites, combatcat.co.uk and IKJS.co.uk launched.
20.12.2001 Site transferred to Dreamweaver, links and structure tweaked, some gaps filled and general site admin carried out. Little dramatic change to content, rather lots of minor amendments.
26.07.2001 General site update, minor tweaks here and there; more content added to : orienteering.
01.01.2001 BOC 2001 section added. Now 121 military news stories. Expanded NI gallery and related BOC2001 gallery. 475 pages.
30.11.2000 Northern Ireland gallery acquires first page, as does walking and orienteering. Orienteering pages developed. Some pages added to RMAS. Extra poems added. 426 pages.
09.11.2000 Many broken links fixed, NI section restructured, individual links pages added, places and links around the West Midlands. More Top Nosh. More classic poetry. 360 pages.
15.10.2000 Quotations extended to include first Central Europe pages. Pages A and B linked to relevant authors' pages on Amazon. 300 pages.
01.10.2000 More quotations added. First cycle route added. Sports front page. Sailing gallery. Book collection linked to Amazon. Interactive statistics section. 282 pages
