Delicious
Georgian wines accompany traditional Georgian and Russian
cuisine. Although there is naturally a meaty skew to
the menu, there are also meat-free dishes. |

Irena's
in a discovery. A bustling Italian restaurant hiding
in the cellar of Southbank House is an eating experience.
The food is quite simply classic Italian at its uncomplicated
finest. The waiters' shouts and emotional waving
just add to the atmosphere. Lunchtime is best, although
they are always busy you ough not to have to wait
too long for your food. You have to sign into the
building and the restaurant is tucked away in the
cellar. Long may the secret continue.

Silks
and Spice is a Thai Malaysian cafe-bar restaurant
and I love what they do with chilli, satay, curry
and all the rest... I think my personal favourite
has to be the tempura vegetables, fried in batter
and served with sweet chilli sauce. Mmmmm. Just minutes'
walk from Camden Dock, what a great setting and what
a great menu.

Cellar restaurant opened
in summer 2000 by some locals which is priced slighty
above the local average, but very pleasantly designed,
styled and presented. The staff are courteous, the food
was good and arrived at just the right moment. Will hopefully
be a success located near the main hotel in the town.
A meal for two with two beers each, and including the
local speciality, cost under 400 Crowns, around £5.00. |
