Snowing in Birmingham in Mid April? Well, yes it did, and I was still convinced I would be cycling to my club meeting that evening. By the time I came back, the snow was settling on the roads and sticking to the wheels so that the tyres were almost not going round!		 Other sports

By tandem across Europe

 The High Point of the tandem expedition to Croatia and Prague
In May / June 1995 I cycled by tandem + trailer from London to Croatia's Adriatic coast, and then to Prague,. The expedition was with Jiri, a fellow student at SSEES, in aid of humanitarian charities in the former Yugoslavia. What a burn. 3 000 km in three weeks, and rain almost every day. But I'd do it again at the drop of a beanie hat!
