All your hopes,
all your fears
Sacrificed upon history’s altar;
Generations past clinging on, reaching down through the centuries
-
Their powerful legacy of fear and hatred is still felt here.
Dreaming of peace in a place which has never known itself,
How are you different from them? What know you of love?
Where is the veil of sleep to liberate,
To dream to float free above time of disruption without change.
Times of hearing ears not listening,
Times when only friendship is secure.
