How to write the perfect CV

  • View these Guidelines from Kudos agency on how to write CVs
  • Remember that the CV is only one part of your application for a position.

  • Make points in your CV clear and concise, avoid jargon
  • Avoid lengthy paragraphs of dense text
  • Achievements are key, so shout about what you have done well
  • Avoid a lengthy CV, keep it to two pages
  • Avoid the temptation to lie. If you are caught you will not get the job or may be fired
  • Do not try to be funny, it does not work
  • Ensure your personal and contact details are up to date
  • Tailor your experience and qualifications to emphasize what is most relevant to this particular application
  • check, proof read, spell check and then get someone else to do it for you as well! Silly errors are most likely to cost you your chance at being shortlisted for interview
