Croatian Assembly removes vice-president
Stipe ©uvar from the Collective Presidency, alleging partiality to the
Serb cause during the 19.08 referendum. Polling booths had been open in
Belgrade for 4 days to enable émigré Croatian Serbs to vote.
The Serbian National Council at Knin proclaims the "Serbian Autonomous Region of Krajina." 2 JNA combat aircraft allegedly intercept a Croatian police helicopter trying to disperse a crowd near Knin. |
